Abstract

The paper calls attention to the problem of communist ideology as a sort of a religious system. The author analyzes the logic of communist dogmas as anti- Christian and pseudo-religious. The paper contains comparative analysis of the main communist dogmas and Christian ideas : the belief in the communism future versus transformation of the Christian eschatology; the belief in proletariat class versus belief in The Savior; the doctrine of the Communist Party like a special interpretation of the Christian ecclisiology (doctrine of the Church); the communist dogma of the infallibility of the party leaders, their words and works versus religious beliefs in prophets and Holy Scripture. The author also analyzes the intention to conserve the corps of Lenin in a mausoleum as a special cult of death, which is the exact opposite of the Christian symbol of the Cross. The separate part of the paper is dedicated to the symbolical meaning of the mausoleum. The author compares it with the Babylon tower, analyzing the Bible text and old legends.
