Russia In The Process Of Globalization

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the character of globalization process in the world as a whole and its main results as applied to Russia under reform. In this context the author of the article examines real social effects of such socio-cultural transformations as the rupture of Eurasian space, united by the Russian language; modernization of the Soviet way of life; transformation of mono-stylistic culture into poly-stylistic; change of life quality and so on. The social portrait of the society emerging from this investigation along with the analysis of genesis, structure and character of contemporary Russian economy, allows the author to determine and formulate the principal mechanisms of weakening of Russia and its self-destruction as the leader power. In this connection the author examines external and internal factors of the current social and economic situation and the main directions of its change, among which there are the following tendencies – overcoming of simplification of the reform process (uncritical borrowing of foreign cultural experience, reproduced in the alien socio-cultural environment, which in fact leads to disorganization and other negative consequences), and also restoration of age-old rights of “simple” norms of morality, determining motivation and people’s behavior, because there exist neither culture nor civilization beyond the morality.
